This week I spent some time getting my printmaking tools organized. This storage solution can be used for anything you want to keep organized and protected. I chose to build the storage into a drawer of a toolbox, but an old cigar box, or any box would work equally as well....

When I last left off I had just received the hardware and ordered my laser cut pieces. The next set if components I needed were the electronics. For this I headed over to Adafruit.com. I picked up a Trinket 5v microcontroller, and a 4-pack of the RGB Neopixels.

I've started a new project over the past few weeks creating an electronic phenakistoscope. This is actually a project I started many years ago and failed, so I'm giving it another go. I will have a few videos on my YouTube channel once I get this completed, but I can get into more detail here...

I finished off this print today. The YouTube video is at the end of this post. I started off today by prepping the paper for chine-colle´. I had a nice sheet of this grey paper....

I made a lot of progress on this print tonight. I started by flipping and then transferring my sketch onto the copper plate. I use white wax-free transfer paper, but then I go over it again with pencil to help it stick...

This print is looking at simple machines, which are: Lever, Wheel and axle, Puller, Inclined Plane (This print), Wedge, and Screw.

I have a tendency to make things more complicated than they should be, and given the space, I'll add details to no end. So part of the idea of this print of an inclined plane was to restrict it to a smaller size...
